Hard Cough

I have Cystic Fibrosis and i have been coughing up yellow and green mucus and waking up sweating ???
I also havent been in the hospital for 5 years so what kind of infection could it be ?

I had a mild cold about two weeks ago and then developed a hacking cough and very irritated and itchy throat. I just keep coughing, every time I breath it seems to irritate my throat. I’ve tried cough drops, cough syrup, vitamin C (2000% a day) and it’s not getting better. Any other suggestions?

Chop up elephant garlic( or onions) into small pieces and boil in water when the water is boiled remove garlic and let it cool then add salt(if you want) or sugar( if you want) to add flavour. Gargle water with 1/2 tbs of salt for 30 seconds a day. Gargling chili powder with water for 20 seconds a day. See a doctor it could be strep throat

Uh, I took a teaspoon of codeine cough syrup at about 11:30 this morning and just took a 2nd teaspoon at about 45 minutes ago. Would it be alright to drink alcohol, or should I stay from alcohol tonight?
I was planning on getting drunk before taking the second teaspoon, but now Im leaning towards not drinking. Thanks for the answers.

I have a dry cough, my throat doesn’t hurt, no nasal drips, just a cough. It started as a cold last wednesday but then the cold turned into my cough. But I think it might be allergies. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it? I need it gone by Saturday.

How many teaspoons of Robitussin should I take to get high for the first time if I weigh 117 pounds and do you have to mix cough syrup with water or you just drink it without mixing it with anything? If you dont want to help me and give me answers just dont bother and go away.

Follow the instructions on the label of the bottle. If for some reason they are missing, just go to a search engine and type in Robitussin dosages. Be careful not too overmedicate.

You know that rumor (maybe a rumor I’m not sure) that one can get high from cough syrup, I’m curious to know if enough cough drops can have the same effect. I didn’t look up the ingridients for cough syrup prior to this question so forgive me if this sounds stupid.

Like i said, since last Wednesday i have been coughing up yellow mucus. Sometimes its chunks but it is mostly still liquid. I have been experiencing fever as well, last night it was 101.7 and this morning it was 99.7. I have been taking Delsym for the cough (it doesn’t help much) and extra strength tylenol for the fever.(it does help) I would love some help on this. Thanks in advance, Garrett M.

See a doctor immediately, any diagnosis here would be irrelevant. Better safe than sorry

I’ve had a cold for a week now and with it, a cough that has been keeping me up at night. Any tips for how to stop coughing long enough to get to sleep? It’s a dry cough, the kind where you keep getting that horrible tickle. I’ve tried having cough lozenges and lemon honey drinks. I can’t afford to buy cough syrup. Anything to do before bed that could help or any particular ways to sleep?

Try lemon peel tea first and keep your back warm. Maximun one-half lemon per hour…If you need stronger medicine use great fruit skin tea made the same way …add to lemon juice and lots of sugar. It has quinine in the oils.

I’ve noticed that some folks cough and sometimes spit after eating a good meal. What’s that about?

There seems to be no special reasons. It is their habbit.

i would like something i can give him myself instead of going to the vet, they charge an arm and leg just for the visit and then the suggestions.

A runny nose and a cough is kennel cough. Must go to the vet to get antibiotics. Will not get better on its own.Get vaccations to prevent it from happening again.Part of owning a pet.Sorry…
