I just got a call to work as a waitress tomorrow evening, but the problem is that I’m still coughing badly from my chronic bronchitis and my nose is runny…I feel fine and can work, I just don’t want people to be turned off by it…

Explain to your Boss that you are willing to work but you have a cough from chronic bronchitis and a running nose and see if they think that you should work. Hope you get better.

I have had a chronic upper lung cough now since the week before memorial day. I’ve been to the doctor several times and allergy doctor and tried a host of typical allergy and bronchial relief drugs and nothing seems to work. The only thing I can relate to a new change in my enviroment is starting Zocor about a month or two before the cough began.

I have been taking simvastatin (Zocor) for 7 years now. To my knowlege there is not a cough related side effect associated with it. However, there is always a first. My suggestion is to first tell your doctor about your cough and ask if is there is an alternative he could put you on or you could discontinue taking it for about a week and see if the cough disappears and then you would know.

I have been smoking quite heavily for 7 months, and developed a very chesty (sounds like smokers cough) cough with alot of mucus. After the antibiotics are finished (they work perfectly) the cough returns in a matter of days. I am planning on quitting the smokes from today, but just wondering why it keeps returning, should i see my doctor and get chest x-rays, and any ideas on how long it will take for cough to go away? Thanks.

COPD, look it up or you could have a viral lung infection which is why the antibiotics don’;t actually cure it.

My dog just got kennel cough and i just want some background information on it.

Kennel cough is very common if you go to the pound it runs ramped there, the reason for it is that Kennel cough ia a virus and it is passed through the air, just like people with colds and when they cough or sneeze, the virus flies in the air, all a dog has to do is breathe it and they will get it. If you have other dog in the house you should separated them or they will get it too. There is a vaccine that they give that sometimes prevents dogs from getting it. I assume its strep throat but i have had strep throat before and i have never had a cough with phlegm while sick with strep… but what else could it be…it hurts to swallow and seems like the right tonsil and right ear seem to be infected. and its worse at night….
I will be seeing a doctor but i cant get an appointment till next week….im just wondering what else it could be?

You need a new doctor … you could be dead before this jerk sees you …………………………………..

ive been taking cold and sinus piills but it doesnt work?
and i have really bad coughs.

When you are suffering from a cold or flu, there are many ways to relieve the symptoms. These symptoms include a stuffed up head, runny nose, sinus headache, bodily aches and pains, sneezing, coughing, a sore throat, and a general feeling of tiredness and lack of energy.

Symptoms of a sinus infection include inflammation of the nasal passages, nasal congestion, pain, headaches, fever, sore throat, and facial tenderness including pressure behind the eyes and cheek areas. When suffering from a sinus infection, your mood and entire lifestyle are affected. Sinusitis happens when the delicate membranes in your nose and sinuses become inflamed from a viral or bacterial infection.

This may be a result of a cold, allergies, air pollutants, or exposure to dry, cold air. The inflammation causes the membranes to secrete additional mucous to fight the infection, and the mucous becomes trapped in the sinuses and becomes infected.

My doctor actually prescribe me Robitussin but it seems it did not work and my stomach fell sour after i drink so i stop. then i tried another herbal medicine no sour pain but the soothing effect is only temporary.

So my friends told me that the best medicine for dry cough is amoxicillin especially if the cough is lasted to 1 week. how true is this?

thank you hope u could help me with this!

If your doctor doesn’t prescribe antibiotics, then don’t take them. It’s misuse of antibiotics that is making them…can’t think of the word…but not work anymore. That’s a serious thing. Do what your doctor says. Get some cough drops. Those awful eucalyptus ones work. Been there.

Yes, we sometimes do that at school. It is funny especially when the lesson is boring

Or does a cough always/ most usually accompany the condition?

Absolutely – asthma has many presentations. Please see an MD. Asthma can be life threatening.

Hot lemon and honey.
