How long should i wait after taking cough med to drink alcohol?

I am taking Benylin Chesty Coughs not the non drowsy one its the cough medicine Diphenhydramine hydrochloride and Levomenthol, I want to know how long from my last dose will i have to wait till i can drink alcohol?
And is 24 hours long enough?

4 – 6 hours depending on the stregnth of the medicine.

    If you’re using a cough medicine I presume that you have a cough. Don’t drink until you’re well. Alcohol delays healing.
