How can I cough without making my belly hurt?

I had my appendix taken out last 3 days and I’m feeling fantastic, some people won’t even be able to move or walk or even type. Anyways, everytime I cough, my stomach hurts from the staples they put in as a substitute until i get my stitches, but if that’s not why its making my stomach hurt when i cough, what is making it hurt? And how can i cough without MAKING it hurt. Please im in need of help!

put a pillow there & hold it firmly on the incision area when you are coughing it will help tremendously♦
