Have a new puppy, already been to vet, had been vaccinated with treatment for kennel cough, worms, etc.?

Puppy is still hacking/coughing and just today a white kind of foamy mucus came up. Already went to the vet..Got this pup from the humane society and on its vaccination certificate it already had treatment for kennel cough, and our vet gave it another round of convenia and another antibiotic for me to give it daily.. Eating pretty good..Bowls and urine look good to me, any idea what this could be?? I’m desperate..
Puppies can still get Parvo after they have been vaccinated… call the vet at the very least. Puppies can get very sick very quickly.

Sounds like kennel cough. You told the vet you got the dog from the human society, right? The vet should have checked for kennel cough, but if not, then you should request it.

ok it sounds alot like kennel cough but convenia is usually administered for skin infections, so by the info you shared i will have to say your pet has a few problems a skin infection on top of kennel cough and remember it wont just change over night your animals immune system is compromised right know. take it back to the vet when you can for a check up and if you need to get a second vets opinion. also parvo you want to look for loose stools with blood or a pasty gray color , poor appetite, vomiting clear fluid also could have traces of blood. but one thing people forget is the same symptoms for parvo go for the thousands of different viruses, colds & diseases animals can get.
watch for signs your dogs getting worse and take it in immediately the quicker the problem is found the better of your dog is.

Vaccination (treatment) for kennel cough is like the flu vaccine in people does not cover all types..
Sound like your pup may still have a bit of a infection.. could be developing into a more serious case dispite treatment..
I would call your vet and see if they have any suggestions.. they may want to do a bit more diagnostics or treatments.. you may also want to call the shelter and report what is going on, not only is it important for any other puppies adopted out they may be able to provide you with a low cost/no cost care
Puppies are babies and prone to infections, the stress of moving to a new home, enviroment, new food etc.. can stress their immune systems too.. this equals a healthy pup getting sick in a new home..
Good luck..
