Am i right in thinking that Kennel cough should be left to clear on its own and not with treatment?

I have three Labs 2 adult and one pup the adults both have slight cough and sometimes bring up some froth, pup has odd cough, they are still all eating, drinking and happy, most people have advised me to let it run its course as long as they are not getting worse ? Any other advise would be great

    Get treatment!!

    A puppy has weakened immunity, the adult labs MIGHT be able to fight it but the pup will be weakened more by it since the immune system will have not properly developed.

    Seek veterinary advice ASAP before it gets any worse!

    EDIT: Oh, and for a more expert opinion it might be a good idea to put this question on the Dog section too. :o)
