Every three weeks I start coughing and then i cough up really thick phlegm is this normal?

I have gone to the doctor and he gave me medicine, it worked for awhile and now it has come back. What should I do?
go back to your doctor and tell them that your problem is re-occurring. Could be a possibility of chronic bronchitis, but the doctor probably wont diagnose you with that until you’ve had it for over a year.
Do you have any other breathing difficulties? Problems with normal respiratory rates? Anything else coming up in/with the phlegm… like blood or brown spots?
Deffinately go back to your doctor…..
