Hard Cough

I wanna punch them in the face, but cannot do it, and too late for the germs anyway. Would spraying myself with lysol help?

I offer them a cough drop and mention how it sucks when these things spread while I rub sanitizer on my hands and any surface that they coughed on. They usually apologize and thank me for the cough drop.

Well when someone sneezes you’re apparently supposed to say bless you or whatever. I feel bad because I don’t say anything when people cough. Coughs are also way worse than sneezes. Sneezes feel amazing. Coughs hurt

My 5 month old has developed double ear infection and is right now on medicine. She is right now doing well. However at night when we lay her down she coughs every few minutes. I don’t think it is related to the infection, but I don’t know as I am a new mother. I gave her a sip of water to clear her throat but that has not helped. I’ve tried sitting up slightly but that does not help just a little bit.

Try Vicks Waterless Vaporizer and a cool mist humidifier. The air in your home may not have much humidity causing her to cough.

I ride the bus and sometimes it’s full of elderly sick people and they have horrid cough ! Sounds like they could have tuberculosis or hepatitis ..

Becuz they are old and sick I can’t blame them for being in ill health but as a younger person sitting near them on a bus - is it possible to catch whatever they have ?

It just depends on if they are actually sick or not.
An older lady that went to my church coughed horribly like that because she had smoked all of her life.

Some people have diseases that you can’t catch even if you are around them. I wouldn’t worry about it.

If they had tuberculosis…they wouldn’t be riding the bus.

She has had a course of antibiotics, but it hasn’t helped. Tried steaming and Fess nose drops - still no help. She coughs until she gags, she doesn’t vomit.

Depending where you live, there is a possibility of Black mold in your house, which many times can effect children but not adults. Most people have this in their basement and the ventilation system spreads it in the air. There have been many cases that sound just like this. Otherwise if you have seen a doctor, they would have given you what the child can have. Dextromethophan HBR 15mg, Or otherwise called Cough supressent is amazing if you ask me. Get a childs version and give it to your child for about upto 3 days. It should stop the symptoms and give them some comfort to recover. If you have already tried this then I would suggest, the Check of the house or other things that might be something your just find out your child is allergic too. Such as a HUGE dog or cat running around. Some ideas for you to look at for possible issues causeing it.

it coughs out mucous like, blood with saliva.

This is where you take your dog to the vet. Like, NOW. If it’s coughing up blood, it could be blood in the lungs or stomach. Or something worse.

I was just fine this morning. Just a little cough and sore throat but in the middle of school I started getting a stuffy nose. I tried blowing my nose but nothing came out. It was just running out of my nostrils.

Uuuum I’ve been using ricolas for the past 24 hours and they help alot with the coughing but not so much with the sore throat. Hall breezers taste good but don’t help me very much. My body is definetly aching, my nose is stuffy, my throats terrible, is it possible I could have strep or mono??? I am a teen by the way. Thanks in advance.
I did see Ludens lemon and cherry drops.

Fisherman’s Friend is great, but they taste AWFUL. Luden’s Cherry Drops taste a lot better (taste like candy) but it takes like three or four drops for them to work.

Does menthol actually fight the mucus which causes coughs or does it just soothe the cough with the minty sensation?

Is it just a massage kind of like a heat patch for muscle aches?

Soothe. Menthol is a numbing agent.

if u have a all those, take hot water along with two drops of eucalyptus oil and breathe it for a few minutes
