Hard Cough

My cat is 4 years old and coughing up excessive fur balls.
Is there any medicines she can take to reduce the amount of fur balls she produces.

You can buy a hairball control cat food – they sell different brands at most pet stores.

You can also buy a hairball control medicine that comes in a tube. I give my cat some twice a week – just put some on my finger and she licks it up – it’s chicken-flavored.

Also, you can brush her more often, too, to get control of the shedding. (if you aren’t brushing her at all, you should start)

What you have to do is get used to inhaling. The way to do this is to take a small puff, and inhale very slowly. When you start to feel the urge to cough, hold your breath and try really hard to not cough. When the feeling passes, exhale the smoke, and do it again. If you do this for just 4 or 5 puffs, trying hard to not cough, you should be able to easily inhale without coughing. After that, you have to work on building up a tolerance to the nicotine so that you can smoke a whole cigarette without getting dizzy. When you are ready for this, write me and I will help.

Pedi suggested toddler Dimmetap but it really doesn’t help and it keeps her from sleeping and makes her really cranky. She’s coughing because of the draining in her throat. Humidifier also seemed to make her cough more. Any suggestions on a decongestant that works and doesn’t cause excitability irritability? Has anyone tried the baby Vick’s vapor rub?

I had numerous allergies that made me suffer through the same things your baby’s going through and now I only get those symptoms when I have the flu. Green mucus suggests the infection is bacterial not viral. But quite possibly it is both types. You could see if a doctor, who might give you antibiotics, but it is best to just get over it yourself if possible. Giving people antibiotics increases the resistance of bacteria to antibiotics.

I was just diagnosed with bronchitis and my cough is somewhat unbearable at night. Guy’s right , try honey or honey based meds. Broncolin is the best. If you can’t find it, Lay her down use Vick’s on her chest and throat and rub thoroughly (be civil and mindful, respect your woman of course.) Then cover her with an extra blanket for the night.

My dog got his head stuck in a bar on my bed. He choked himself. He seemed fine when I got him out of the bars, but now he randomly coughs and he throws up after drinking water. I recently got sick because I was playing basketball outside with a couple of friends. My throat itches a little right now, and is the reason why I’m coughing. So far, there is no phlegm. Just an itchy throat which causes my cough. Are there any home remedies or things I can do to help get rid of it?

Absolutely. Simply gargle with salt water(1/2 tsp in 8 oz) This should relieve the inflammation and stop the itch. If it gets worse try Cepacol lozenges or throat spray. If it persists for 3-4 days call your doctor to take a look at it.

me in the hospital basically chocking from coughing and attempting to cough up the in my lungs. it was tramatic. lol. cause: cystic fibrosis.
