He has been heavily dry coughing and gagging all day, and producing the same small amount of white spittle, no sign of food or any foreign object, after his coughing spell.

Make sure he didn’t get into anything, we had 2 westies, one got into the garbage a managed to swallow a chicken bone, she coughed up white foamy spit until we took her to the vet.

I’ve been waiting to see my boyfriend for a week, ive been sick for 2 weeks and I see him tommorrow. I highly doubt i’ll get better over night but I don’t want to be coughing all over him when he tries to kiss me. LOL If there’s a good way to hold in a cough or sooth my throat from coughing so much, do tell!

the only way I know of is cough drops or some sort of medication, it can be liquid too.
The liquid form seems to work A LOT faster.
good luck :)

Obviously I’ve inhaled some dust from the Sydney dust storm and I keep coughing. I’ve tried tea, have been drinking water all morning but nothing has helped. Anyone got some remedies to stop the tickle in the back of my throat?

first gargle … so that you dont ingest the more dust, then take some water, or tea could be even better.

My 8.5 month old son seems to always have a cold. He does go to a nursery during the day. He is a light sleeper normally, but it’s worse when he wakes up congested and coughing at night. We do the humidifier and his mattress is tilted. Any other things we can try? I know they can’t really take any medicine at this point. But ever since birth, it seems like congestion keeps him up at night.

Vick vapor rub baby is a life savor! And you can use it on your 8month old. also run a hot shower and steam up the bathroom then hold your child in the room while its steamy.

He has gone to the doctor and has been treated for broncitis twice. He was given the treatment for broncitis, an inhaler and some pills to stop the coughing. Today was the worse day of all because he coughed none stop for almost 2 hours.

one thing which i always do is…drink a hot water (with ginger, turmeric, salt) before sleep. and plenty of good night sleep.
good luck and get well soon..

I had been taking medicine Mucotuss Forte Capsule. I had been coughing blood for the past two days early morning the rest of the day no more blood coughing. I had a very hard cough the night before. Is it Normal? What are the remedies? Thanks.

I think your sinuses are just shot, maybe you should try some Vick’s vapor rub and sleep under a humidifier.

What are some easy home remedies for coughing at night, and during the day?

Here are a few simple home remedies that will help to overcome cough. Have honey in a hot drink before bed time.Use a infusion of ginger thrice a day. Suck a whole clove without chewing it to soothe a cough. Apples bring a great relief to a person with dry cough. To relieve fits of coughing due to dryness in the throat, suck a few pepper corns. My cat is 4 years old and coughing up excessive fur balls.
Is there any medicines she can take to reduce the amount of fur balls she produces.

You can buy a hairball control cat food – they sell different brands at most pet stores.

You can also buy a hairball control medicine that comes in a tube. I give my cat some twice a week – just put some on my finger and she licks it up – it’s chicken-flavored.

Also, you can brush her more often, too, to get control of the shedding. (if you aren’t brushing her at all, you should start)

I just started and cant stop coughing. Please don’t write you shouldn’t smoke or something like that. thanks

What you have to do is get used to inhaling. The way to do this is to take a small puff, and inhale very slowly. When you start to feel the urge to cough, hold your breath and try really hard to not cough. When the feeling passes, exhale the smoke, and do it again. If you do this for just 4 or 5 puffs, trying hard to not cough, you should be able to easily inhale without coughing. After that, you have to work on building up a tolerance to the nicotine so that you can smoke a whole cigarette without getting dizzy. When you are ready for this, write me and I will help.
Congratulations on starting!
