I tried getting high off DXM (the cough suppressant and psychedelic that’s in cough syrup), but I could only get down like 300 mg of DXM before getting extremely nauseas. I’ve been told that it takes about 800-900 mg to REALLY trip, but how would I get down this much?

stupid question!

I hate taking anything I don’t know whats in it. All the pharmacy told me is it’s like a cough syrup with 3 diff meds in it. Does anybody know the three meds?

its a combination what they refer to as a cocktail of meds

My sister recently broke out into hives after taking this medicine as well as another medicine. We are trying to narrow down the possibilities, but I do not have the cough syrup’s ingredients. So if someone could please give me the ingredients or a place to get the ingredient list. Thanks!

There were a few different cvs cough syrups on the site, and u didn’t specify, so I just picked 3 different ones.

Hi.

I think I’ll be tripping on DXM again sometime soon. I don’t have any pure powder, so I’ll be drinking cough syrup. I was wondering if the ginger gravol will be as effective in relieving the nausea as regular gravol. I don’t think that ginger could react unpleasantly with the DXM, but I’m not sure.

Thanks in advance! :)

hope you cause brain damage you f’ing retard.

in hopes of getting drunk… will it work?

i drank half bottle of mouth wash just bout and less than half bottle of the cough syrup

how long will it take till i feel it?
i dont have money to buy my southern comfort.. so this is all i got.

You have a serious problem. Seek help.

I have a bottle of CVS Tussin Maximum Strength Cough Syrup, and it’s best if use date is from 2003. Is it still safe to use?

The generic answer is Never Use out-of-date medicine.

In truth, there’s nothing in the cough medicine that goes "bad". It’ll work now just as well as it would have worked in 2003.

But again, you should "Never Use Out-of-Date Medicine".
(Kind of a legal disclaimer, you know?)

This is kind of a weird question, I’ll admit, but it’s true! Sometimes when I’m ill and go through the medication process of drinking cough medicine or any liquid medication, my urine often smells like cough syrup. I can sort of justify why it would, but can anyone give me more details as to why my urine would? Is it serious?

you should check webmd.com

a month ago I took 2-3 weeks cough syrup. I just realized this weekend that I’m pregnant. Is it dangerous? Is there anything I can do by now?

Nothing you can do now except don’t take anymore cough syrup. Even though the FDA "says" something is safe, don’t risk it. Everything you put into your body will pass to your child. There are other more effective ways to treat a cough than by OTC methods too! Try this website for info about homeopathic treatments for simple ailments. You’d be very surprised how well homeopathy works. Their prices are awesome, but if you choose to go to your neighborhood health food store instead, at least you can research on this website and be a little better informed when you shop. Please let me know if I can help you in anything natural and healthy for your pregnancy!
And congratulations too!!!

In reference to Lucia’s comment on the safety of herbs and homeopathy: That’s why I said to do your own research. Make sure those you are talking to are well versed in whatever you are taking. Doc’s unfortunately are not always correct in prescribing proper treatment, that’s why you need to be as informed as possible. Rx drugs are not healthy for you or your baby, no matter how benign they seem or the drug companies say they are or what the immediate benefit may seem to be. Sometimes a little discomfort ( speaking of the cough) is imperative to ensure the health of all those involved. Weigh your options carefully.

As for the street drugs, there is ALWAYS an after effect from taking them. Just because a child "appears" to be healthy does not make them so. It may not be evident for years or decades down the road, why take that chance?

I was prescribed some codeine cough syrup for a bad cold and I’m wandering how much I would need to take to actually get a little buzzed? I don’t do these drugs at all and I don’t want to be too stoned when I go to drive. But how much would actually give me a buzz?
