Hard Cough

I’m not entirely sure if I have whooping cough or not, but when I cough I can’t breathe in after I cough, I need to know how to start breathing quickly after I cough? I get a tiny bit of air in, but not enough. I panic a lot if I can’t keep calm. Is there anything I can do?

I feel like the coughs are fake when these women do it. I am 29 yr old average lookin guy. And the 3 women that i notice do it are all over 50 yrs old and no they are not sick they are perfectly healthy. It just seems that they cough alot trying to give me a sign or something that im sick or gay. They probly think im gay cos i dont have a gf. Can anyone explain why the coughing?

So, last night I was up half the night coughing, but I was afraid to take any medicated cough syrup because I’m pregnant and I’m not sure what is safe, and what isn’t. Are there any natural cough remedies that I could take before bedtime to cut down on all the coughing?

P.S- I did make some hot tea with honey in it, and that seemed to help a little. Looking for other suggestions.

My son just turned a year old a few weeks ago. He is so sick though. He has a really nasty cough. My daycare lady says she has given her own kids at her age cough medicine, but i dont know if that ok. They seem like fine kids very active and smart. What do yall think? Do i give him a very low dose to help him recover or just tylenol?

I think I’m not going to risk my son’s health by giving him medication that clearly states it’s not made for him.

It’s a cough, you’ll have to let it run its course. If you are worried then take him to his doctor and see what they say.

I have this nagging cough which occurs whenever the weather becomes cooler? Yes, some sputum comes up when I cough. I was just wondering if anyone knows what type of medical conditions may be causing this, it very annoying?

It could be asthma. Asthma is triggered by different things in different people. Cold air can be a trigger for an asthma attack.

Hot tea, honey or just heat water and inhale the vapor it will clear your system for a bit and it feels great.

I had my appendix taken out last 3 days and I’m feeling fantastic, some people won’t even be able to move or walk or even type. Anyways, everytime I cough, my stomach hurts from the staples they put in as a substitute until i get my stitches, but if that’s not why its making my stomach hurt when i cough, what is making it hurt? And how can i cough without MAKING it hurt. Please im in need of help!

I am taking Benylin Chesty Coughs not the non drowsy one its the cough medicine Diphenhydramine hydrochloride and Levomenthol, I want to know how long from my last dose will i have to wait till i can drink alcohol?
And is 24 hours long enough?

Hi Kali, the most effective for you is the use of garlic. The syrup of garlic should be given in doses of five drops to a teaspoon two or three times a day for treating this condition. It should be use more often if the coughing are frequent and violent.

Use of ginger is anotehr effective remedy for cough. A teaspoon of fresh ginger juice,mixed with a cup of fenugreek decoction and honey to taste, is an excellent diaphoretic. It acts as an expectorant in this disease.

A syrup prepared by mixing a teaspoon of fresh raddish juice with an equal quantity of honey and a little rock salt , is beneficial in the treatment of this disease. It should be given thrice daily.

Almond oil is also valuable in treating cough. It should be given mixed with 10 drops each of fresh white onion juice, daily three times for a fortnight.

My step daughter has a deep cough. She does not take cough syrups or medicines. I tried lemon juice with honey. It does not work. Does anyone know of natural remedies for deep coughs?
