Dry cough for two months now, could it be asthma?
30.September, 2009
I consulted a doctor, gave me antitussive, it didn’t work. I took mucolytic formula, no effect also. Tried to rest for 3 days before going to work. Tried water therapy. I still cough.
If it’s asthma, I can’t seem to point out what’s triggering it. I put towel on my back when I perspire, I lower down the AC before I sleep, house is relatively clean, so there should be no dust.
Try drinking lots of water and breathing through your nose. And just eat healtheir in general

Could be stressed related. The doctor won’t tell you that.

You doctor should have tested you for asthma. I suggest you consult a respiratory specialist. Asthma is triggered by different things for different people. It may be air pollution, it may be a pet, etc.
Asthma sufferers have increased in number over the last 10 years quite a bit which is attributed to mostly air pollution. Also if you are in a new home or have new carpet or paint in the home that is toxic.

Okay, remember it doesn’t matter how clean, you can still have mold present. Do you have carpeting? Deep clean it. You should change the filter on your ac and definitely get a purifier. I thought my nephew was having asthma and my sister keeps her house clean however little did she know she had a big mushroom (fungus) growing behind her bathroom sink that was making my nephew cough.

The symptoms of asthma can vary among people. Usually there is scratchy throat, or tightness in the chest, followed by a cough, wheezing, or shortness of breath.
An asthma attack occurs when the airways become inflamed in response to a trigger, such as dust, mold, pets, exercise, or cold weather.
I would get another doctor.

The doctor needs to send you to a lung specialist and he will do some other testings to find out what’s really going on.
