I am not unfit and none of my close family have asthma, although my grandad had emphysema and my dad smokes. The coughing is sometimes triggered by strong smells such as perfume and air freshener, and smoke.

I have been smoking weed since the age of 15. I started smoking everyday when i turned 16. I am now 18 and i have my medicinal marijuana card and i smoke 3 bowls a day. I recently noticed that I cough every time I take a hit. It doesn’t matter if its from a pipe, joint, or blunt. I’ve also noticed that I cough up lots and lots of phlegm. The cough lasts all day and my parents are getting worried that my cough hasn’t gone away after 3 weeks.

I got emphysema from smoking weed, which includes chronic cough.

Weed doesn’t cause any other illness, it doesn’t cause lung cancer, you can’t die from it…etc etc

But the only thing you can get from smoking too much weed is emphysema, which most kids do not know, it usually starts with a cough that lasts up to 4-6 weeks.

I believe I have acute bronchitis and I am allergic to most antiboitics so that’s out of the question. I have green mucus and a deep dry cough. What do I need to get rid of it? I can’t take zicam or mucinex

nothing. just grin and bare it. you dont want to take any meds while pregnant. although if i remember correctly you can take a certain type of Robitussin.

my friend has been told that there is no treatment available for an irritating cough caused by refelux from her stomach !! she is suffering constantly and has no releif, any suggestions would be welcome ,thanks.

Steam is good to get the mucus out by softening your secretions so if its a dry nagging cough the steam will help to make those secretions get soft and loosen up to get out.

How can i get rid of this awful tickle in my throat. It’s causing me to have a very dry cough that sounds very hoarse.

All the coughing is giving me headaches as well but it’s late at night so I can’t go out and get cough medicine until tomorrow morning so is there anything i can do to help ease it off tonight?

Cough drops, tea. Do you have an menthol like vicks so you can rub on your feet and chest? Do you have a humidifier? Do you have any lemons you can put in tea? I pray you feel better soon.

I recently quit smoking, and as usual for most people I have an annoying cough. It’s not as bad as it could be though since I only smoked 2 packs a week on average. Is it okay to use cough drops or cough syrup to suppress the cough or do I need to let myself cough?

As your lungs are healing (the cila growing back) your lungs are trying to expel the crud that has been in them for the period of time you smoked. You should try and cough it out. If you are feeling ill in any other way I would advise seeing a doctor for a chest xray just to be sure. Good luck.
