Medicines that work good and quite fast for a dry cougcough?
Any amazing remedies that would help me get better faster would also be appreciated,thanks.

I wanna punch them in the face, but cannot do it, and too late for the germs anyway. Would spraying myself with lysol help?

I offer them a cough drop and mention how it sucks when these things spread while I rub sanitizer on my hands and any surface that they coughed on. They usually apologize and thank me for the cough drop.

Trying to quit smoking but now if I don’t smoke in the mornings and when I lay down to go to sleep I cough like crazy. Cough Drops, Robitussin, and DayQuil have not helped at all. Any help?

I was like that - had to sleep propped up on a pillow to ease cough. I used to panic until I fell to sleep about my lungs collapsing in the night. despite that I could never quit.

8 months later I’m free!!!! Yipee. The cough is one of the 1st things to go so just do it. No compromising.

I have gone to the doctor and he gave me medicine, it worked for awhile and now it has come back. What should I do?

go back to your doctor and tell them that your problem is re-occurring. Could be a possibility of chronic bronchitis, but the doctor probably wont diagnose you with that until you’ve had it for over a year.

Do you have any other breathing difficulties? Problems with normal respiratory rates? Anything else coming up in/with the phlegm… like blood or brown spots?

I’m not entirely sure if I have whooping cough or not, but when I cough I can’t breathe in after I cough, I need to know how to start breathing quickly after I cough? I get a tiny bit of air in, but not enough. I panic a lot if I can’t keep calm. Is there anything I can do?

Well when someone sneezes you’re apparently supposed to say bless you or whatever. I feel bad because I don’t say anything when people cough. coughs are also way worse than sneezes. Sneezes feel amazing. Coughs hurt

my 9 month old puppy started hacking yesterday and is still doing it. At first i thought he ate something but since its continued i think it is a cough are there any home remedies to help im a broke college kid so going to the vet is not a opption at the moment . is kennel cough serious?

There are two treatment options depending on the severity of the disease. In the most common mild (uncomplicated) form of the disease, antibiotics may or may not be used. Treating the mild case does not shorten the length in which the animal will be a potential spreader of the disease. In addition, bronchodilators like aminophylline or cough suppressants may also be used in treatment of mild cases.

In more severe (complicated) cases where the animal is not eating, running a fever, or showing signs of pneumonia, antibiotics are often used. The most common ones are doxycycline or trimethoprim-sulfa. However, many other choices are also available. Steroids or cough suppressants are not usually recommended because of the risk of immunosuppression with steroids and the need to continue to clear extra fluid or mucous in pneumonia patients. Bronchodilators and even aerosol therapy can be used. In moderate or severe cases, veterinary care should be instituted, as the resultant pneumonia could become life threatening if not treated properly and promptly.

Because pressure on the throat and trachea can make coughing worse, it is recommended that dogs with a cough should wear a head collar or harness instead of a regular neck collar.

I read that robitussin cough syrup helps the cervical mucous more favorable for the sperm, are there any moms that have tried this? and what kind of robitussin do you use, is there only 1 kind?

A friend told me the same. She had problems with her CM not being good quality. She said the porblems she had "wasn’t anything a few teaspoons of Robitussin couldn’t cure." I laughed and said "OK, teaspoon a day!"

Well, I did not have a chance to try it…I got pregnant that night. No medical intervention or other magical stuff…just the good old fashioned way.
